Now on her 15 th year of medical practice, Dr. Berly Basinal- Balita specializes in Perinatology and 3D4D Ultrasound. She is currently the Medical Director of BLISSFUL BEGINNINGS AND BEYOND – BBB Perinatology and Gynecology Clinic, a comprehensive high-risk pregnancy medical group which offers a wide array of treatments and services that cater specifically to women with complicated pregnancies, but extend up to well women who want to undergo holistic maternal and fetal services.
She is a Diplomate of the Philippine Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the Philippine Obstetrical and Gynecological Society, Philippine Society of Maternal and Fetal Medicine and Philippine Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Balita earned her medical degree from Bicol Christian College of Medicine in 1990. After medical clerkship at the Bicol Regional Training Hospital, she intered at the Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center then went on to residency training under the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Seamen’s Hospital in Intramuros, where she eventually became it’s Chief Resident in 1997. She further proceeded to perfect her skills with preceptorship and subspecialty training at the Manila Central University – FDTMF Hospital until 2000. She then practiced locally as an OB-GYN consultant until 2006, when she took on a post as an Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialist and Ob/Gyn Ultrasound Specialist in the Middle East, where she practiced until 2015.
She has kept abreast with the latest in ultrasound technology, having attended local and international conventions, such as the Fetal Echocardiography Course in Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia USA in October 2007 and the Obstetric Ultrasound for High Risk Patients in Vegas, USA in November, 2009.
Furthermore, she attended the ADVANCES IN 3D & 4D ULTRASOUND CONVENTION at the Crowne Plaza in Cleveland, Ohio, USA and participated in the NUCHAL TRANSLUCENCY EDUCATION AND QUALITY MONITORING PROGRAM she was credentialed to perform Nuchal Translucency Scan with NTQR PROVIDER ID P11703 .
As she moves her practice back to the Philippines, it is Dr. Balita’s vision to provide world-class proficient and professional service to Filipino Women, bringing in best practices and technologies from abroad and making them available to clientele with the most discerning tastes in women’s wellness.
